My first job leaving school was working in Arthur Hobson’s Camera Shop where I was handed a Russian Zenit film camera and a roll of black and white film and told to go out and photograph things that meant something to me. I still have the prints from that roll of film and treasure them more now than I did back in 1980. My stint in camera sales didn’t last too long as I was eventually lured into the corporate world of Human Resources in which I carved out a 30-plus-year career. Now I have more time on my hands I’m enjoying my photography, especially helping people with imaging.
